1.) They are easy! you don't have to do anything. Not even rinse the poop of the diaper. You just throw it into the pail (that they provide you with) and that's it. No worries....ever.
2.) They are "green". As green as they can be, I believe. The recycle their wash water, and sanitize it for washing again. That means instead of one cycle of washing like our own washing machines at home, Tidee Didee is capable of reusing their water several times so as not to waste resources. They also use less water than we do at home, for more cycles of washings because of this fact. They use high efficiency industrial machines to launder in, so again, use of less resources. They provide us with CLOTH diapers!! So obviously, that's green :)
3.) They can get their diapers cleaner! They are able to wash their diapers 13 times, which means a cleaner diaper than we can accomplish at home without living in our laundry rooms! They can also use non-chlorine bleaches safely because of this, and are able to clean out more bacteria than we can at home, while keeping the diapers safe for baby.
4.) They are non-invasive. This is probably one of my favorite parts of our diaper service. We don't hear from them! Once you chose to start your diaper service, you give them your due date (or date you would like to start service), they deliver your diapers to your door in the wee hours of the morning, along with whatever products you ordered to go with it, and that's it. You call them to start service and you never have to speak to them again, unless I guess if you have a problem, which we haven't. They don't call us to ask if we need anything else, they don't even mail us a statement. They just stick a bill on the bag when it's time to pay, and you simply stick your statement and payment back on the bag for the next pick up. If you don't want their service anymore, then you just put all your diapers out, and stop paying. That's it. No hassle. No worries, just a simple, friendly, non-invasive service for your diapers. And that's what we need in the beginning, right moms?
Can you imagine if you needed to call them all the time, or had them calling you every other day asking questions? Or getting all kinds of mail from them left and right. I know we are just talking about piles of cotton made to hold in poop, but really. When you have a brand new infant baby to take care of, and a million people coming in and out of your house all the time, clothes to sort, thank you notes to send, baby items to put together, no sleep, and so on and so on.......the last thing you need to do is worry about diapers. That's why I appreciate diaper service, and Tidee Didee's efforts to keep it simple........as it should be :)
If you are a mom looking to get into cloth diapering, but afraid of the work that might be involved, I strongly suggest you look into a diaper service in your area to get you started. This way, you can spend time learning about making cloth diapering work for you, and not worrying about washing them. You will find, in a very short time period, that cloth diapering is very easy, and you will probably soon after decide to move away from the diaper service, or maybe not! You might find it so convenient that it's worth the money to keep it! It's STILL cheaper than disposables. No! I'm not kidding! The luxury of a diaper service is cheaper than disposables! Ready to switch yet? :)
Oh........Diaper Service makes a great shower gift as well!
Another thing to know about diaper service: SOME diaper services also offer a disposable service, where they pick up your disposables and compost them for you. Another way to be responsible with your diapers!
